Concept & Background
Joy and sorrow, meeting and parting, success and failure — every event carved into a life weaves together with the others, giving rise to new meaning and continually deepening its brilliance. I believe that life does not lose its light the more experience it accumulates; rather, it is capable of amplifying that brilliance.
Technique, Color & Expression
At the center of the piece, pillars of light in various colors rise in every direction. By layering colors reminiscent of flames and the aurora, centered on yellow and gold, I expressed how the energy of life continuously circulates and keeps on expanding.
Creative Intent
A person is not something that breaks under suffering and loss. Even while still carrying them, that life never loses its brilliance. This piece depicts a scene in which life itself colors the world.
