Technique, Color & Expression
画面いっぱいに広がるオレンジから、中心に向かって光が放射するように色を重ねました。外側から内側へ、そして内側から外側へと巡るエネルギーを感じていただけたらと思います。

More about this painting
The phrase "return to origin"
"Genten kaiki," return to origin, is a Japanese phrase meaning to go back to the beginning of something, to what one valued most. It is often used in companies, shops and sports when people feel lost or face a big change.
This painting was born as a way of returning to the voice of one's own heart when it feels as if the voices and information of the outside world might swallow us.
In an age overflowing with information
We encounter enormous amounts of information every day. Japan's White Paper on Information and Communications also shows that, with the spread of smartphones, the time people spend on the internet has grown year after year.
Life has become more convenient, but our hearts are also more easily swayed, without our noticing, by other people's opinions and the voices around us. That is why I think it has become important to pause sometimes and ask ourselves, "How do I really feel?"
The color orange
In this painting, I layered color so that light radiates toward the center from an orange that fills the whole canvas.
The English word "orange" was originally the name of the fruit. After the fruit spread through Europe, it is said to have come into use as the name of a color around the 16th century. Before that, English had no exact word for this color.
Sunsets, the flames of a campfire, the harvest of autumn — orange is a color that makes us feel warmth and the power to live.
From outside in, from inside out
In this painting I depicted energy circling from the outside inward, and from the inside outward.
Returning to your own center does not mean leaving the world. When we regain our own axis, we can once again send warm light out toward the world.
When you feel lost, I hope you gaze into the center of this painting and remember your own origin.
