For those about to open a new door in life — an artwork that protects you and brings you every good connection meant for you. This piece was created to help you remember the power to choose your own ideals and truth, beyond the boundary of "how things are supposed to be." That wish was painted with intention, carried on the unseen breath of a dragon.
Concept & Background
As I layered color during the making of this piece, a "dragon energy" seemed to flow in naturally on its own. Later, I learned that shrines across Japan enshrine "Kuzuryū" (nine-headed dragon), a dragon deity handed down through generations as a god who brings blessings and good connections to people.
Technique, Color & Expression
I layered acrylic again and again to express a depth and transparency that shimmers with light. Red symbolizes the power of life, like blood; gold, blue, and green symbolize water, wind, and the invisible currents of mystery.
Creative Intent
This piece carries a prayer that protects the viewer and draws in good connections. May this art awaken the dragon-like energy sleeping within you, and bind together every good connection meant for you.
