Concept & Background
True healing comes only when we accept and integrate both the "darkness" and the "light" that everyone carries within. I wanted to capture the realization that receiving love matters just as much as giving it.
Technique, Color & Expression
I layered acrylic paint again and again, scattering translucent color based in blue and green across the expanse. Countless small points of color express a shimmer like stars in the universe, or particles of the soul.
Creative Intent
This piece was created as a prayer to protect the viewer's heart and help them move forward into the future. I hope it becomes a reminder of how much both giving and receiving love matter.
